Yes, you should have an electrician add a new outlet in your home. It is simple to replace an existing electrical outlet on your own, but when it comes to adding a new electrical outlet in your home, it can be complex. An electrician will be fully equipped to assess the current circuit you have, where you would like to add an outlet and whether or not it would be able to support it. Additionally, an electrician is knowledgeable about electrical code and has the skills to install your outlet correctly. To get an electrical outlet installed, contact us today.
The number of outlets you can add to an existing circuit will depend on the capacity of the circuit and how many outlets you currently have. In most cases, you should not have more than eight switches and outlets on a standard circuit in your home. If you are thinking about adding an outlet to an existing circuit, you should have an electrician evaluate your current circuit to determine if it would be able to support an additional outlet. To get an electrical outlet installed, call us today.
A few ways you can tell if a house needs rewiring include:
- Your home’s wiring is over 30 years old.
- You notice a burning smell or burn marks on your outlets.
- Your lights are dim or flicker.
Another sign you may need to have your house rewired is if your circuit breaker trips frequently, as that is an indication that there is an issue with your home’s electrical systems. To get your home rewired, give us a call today.

High prices, did not ask what color new outlet covers should be
Tyler - Norman, OK 73069
I was in a rush to get some new outlets installed and move a light switch so I went with the first provider to contact me after putting a request in through Homeadvisor.com and Angie's List. When I compared the prices I paid with my friends/family who have received similar services from other providers, Edge Electric was extremely high and I regret using the company. Additionally, the electrician did not ask me what color I would like the switches/outlets to be and I am now forced to have another contractor change those out. In light of the high cost of service from Edge Electric, I would expect a higher degree of customer service including but not limited to simply asking the customer specific questions like color preferences. Overall I am not happy with my experience and do not plan on using Edge for future electrical needs.
